Under the agreement, the entities will establish a specialized artificial intelligence laboratory within the college's Department of Computer Science. The collaborative lab aims to bridge industry-academia skill gaps, providing students with direct access to enterprise-grade AI frameworks, applied research projects, and specialized training to make graduates industry-ready for careers across the artificial intelligence and deep-tech sectors.

HaiVE Proposes Tamil Nadu Artificial Intelligence Alliance for AI Standards
Chennai-based on-premise artificial intelligence startup HaiVE has announced that the Tamil Nadu state government has accepted its proposal to establish the Tamil Nadu Artificial Intelligence Alliance. Under the partnership, HaiVE will collaborate with senior officials from the Secretary of Information Technology's office and the Tamil Nadu e-Governance Agency to develop a foundational AI standards body. The upcoming framework is designed to help state authorities establish guidelines for monitoring, governing, and regulating unchecked artificial intelligence adoption across various sectors, while ensuring ethical implementation, transparency, and data safety across government and enterprise systems in the region.
