A survey by JanAI, an initiative of Head Held High Foundation, revealed that 72% of Indian government-school teachers feel positive about artificial intelligence, with 26% already using it regularly. The study surveyed 797 teachers across Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Jharkhand, and Maharashtra, finding that educators are actively leveraging personal smartphones to simplify difficult concepts, generate classroom activities, and prepare worksheets without waiting for official computer infrastructure. The findings arrive ahead of the Indian government's planned rollout of an AI and Computational Thinking curriculum for Classes 3 through 12 starting in the 2026-27 academic session.
