Activate, a venture capital firm led by former Haptik chief executive officer Aakrit Vaish and former Together Fund partner Pratyush Choudhury, has closed its maiden fund at $105 million. The fund comprises an $85 million flagship early-stage fund and $20 million in growth vehicles. Backers include Vinod Khosla, General Catalyst, Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Lalit Keshre, and Ranjan Pai. Activate targets pre-seed and idea-stage artificial intelligence startups across AI applications, foundational models, and infrastructure. It plans to back 25 to 30 companies with initial ticket sizes between $500,000 and $3 million.
