Adobe Names Anil Chakravarthy As CEO Succeeding Shantanu Narayen

Enterprise software giant Adobe has appointed Indian-origin executive Anil Chakravarthy as its next President and Chief Executive Officer, effective December 1, 2026. Longtime CEO Shantanu Narayen, who led the company since 2007, will transition to Executive Chair. Chakravarthy, an IIT Varanasi alumnus and former Informatica CEO, currently heads Adobe’s Digital Experience business. The leadership transition comes amid Adobe’s massive generative AI expansion across flagship creative suites and autonomous AI agent deployment. Adobe posted a record quarterly revenue of $6.62 billion in Q2 FY26, driven by surging enterprise adoption of its Firefly AI models.
