Speaking at DevSparks Chennai 2026, Arvind Purushothaman, Global Cloud Consulting and Microsoft Practice Leader at EY GDS, highlighted the growing gap between AI agent prototypes and enterprise deployment. While modern cloud environments, low-code tools, and open model APIs have made building AI agent demos effortless, transitioning them into business-critical systems remains challenging. Purushothaman noted that the true bottleneck is no longer access to model intelligence, but rather industrializing systems against compliance, regulated data, and mission-critical integrations.
