Palo Alto Networks CEO Nikesh Arora warned that frontier artificial intelligence models are uncovering software vulnerabilities faster than organisations can verify, prioritise, and fix them. Speaking on LinkedIn, Arora highlighted that smaller enterprises lack dedicated security staff to deploy patches rapidly, while larger companies must thoroughly test fixes against existing applications to avoid system disruptions. Submissions to the US National Vulnerability Database grew 263% between 2020 and 2025, reaching nearly 42,000 enriched records in 2025. Arora noted that automated flaw discovery requires paired automated remediation to prevent malicious exploitation by threat actors.
