Airbnb has announced plans to launch an autonomous AI travel agent in the first half of 2027. The upcoming digital assistant is designed to help travelers plan full itineraries, compare accommodation options, manage direct bookings, and receive real-time support throughout their stays. The initiative highlights Airbnb's strategy to move beyond standard listings and offer full-service trip management powered by generative AI. As global travel platforms race to integrate intelligent automation, the feature represents a major move toward autonomous concierge services that can coordinate end-to-end travel logistics directly within consumer mobile applications.
