Amazon India has created over 160,000 seasonal jobs across its pan-India operations network to support e-commerce and quick commerce operations ahead of the festive season. The seasonal workforce spans more than 400 cities, covering major metros alongside Tier II and Tier III locations such as Varanasi, Ranchi, and Gorakhpur. The roles encompass direct and indirect operations in order fulfilment, picking, packing, shipping, and delivery. Amazon has also integrated worker welfare programmes, helping associates enrol in the government's e-Shram portal and extending its Sammaan initiative, which provides insurance coverage and educational scholarships for delivery associates' children.
