Chipmaker AMD has signed a memorandum of understanding with the University of Delhi to train around 10,000 students in artificial intelligence and semiconductor technologies over the next year. Under the initiative, AMD is introducing its AI Engage Developer Program to the university, providing students and faculty with hands-on access to AMD's open-source ROCm AI software platform, technical workshops, curriculum, and cloud-based GPU developer credits. According to Jaya Jagadish, Country Head and SVP Engineering at AMD India, the partnership aims to help Indian students bridge theoretical concepts and real-world AI application development using industry-grade tools.
