Indian e-waste and battery recycling firm Attero is leveraging an artificial intelligence engine named Matrix to streamline material pricing and regulatory compliance. Speaking at TechSparks 2026, Ayush Agarwal, Head of Product and Technology at Attero, explained that the company annually processes roughly 200,000 metric tonnes of e-waste and 10,000 metric tonnes of lithium-ion batteries. With annual material procurement exceeding Rs 1,000 crore, the proprietary AI model analyzes appliance components, estimated recoverable metals, regional demand, processing expenses, and global commodity prices to calculate accurate scrap purchase prices across various distributed markets and eliminate human valuation errors.
