AU Small Finance Bank Probes Data Leak; Vijay Sales Systems Targeted

Jaipur-based AU Small Finance Bank is investigating a suspected data leak involving a third-party Salesforce-hosted software-as-a-service platform holding vehicle loan customer data. Threat actor group ScarlettGroup claimed to have compromised customer records, including KYC documents, Aadhaar and PAN details, credit reports, and bank statements. The bank clarified that its core systems remain unaffected and banking operations continue normally. In an unrelated incident, threat actors allegedly listed administrator access to electronics retail chain Vijay Sales for $25,000. Neither breach has been independently verified, but both highlight growing enterprise cybersecurity vulnerabilities in India.
