Homegrown luxury brand Bangalore Watch Company has secured $1.4 million in a seed round from existing customers, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals. Founded in 2018 by Nirupesh Joshi and Mercy Amalraj, the brand designs and manufactures mechanical watches priced between Rs 1.5 lakh and Rs 3 lakh, themed around Indian aviation, space, and culture. The company plans to use the capital to expand into key international watch collector markets and open retail locations. BWC currently produces 1,500 watches annually and aims to quadruple its manufacturing capacity over the next three to five years.
