Bengaluru Houses 34% of India’s Forward Deployed Engineer Talent

Bengaluru accounts for 34% of India’s Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) talent pool, followed by Hyderabad at 14% and Delhi NCR at 13%, according to a report by FDE Academy. Together, these three tech hubs represent 61% of India’s AI deployment workforce. Big Tech companies employ 38% of FDE professionals, while product firms and IT services companies employ 24% each, with AI-first startups accounting for 14%. Additionally, around 70% of FDE professionals have eight years of experience or less, highlighting rising enterprise demand for talent bridging technical engineering and customer-facing deployment.
