Bengaluru-based startup CaliperAI is developing physical AI systems and modular unmanned ground vehicles for heavy industrial asset inspections, including electrical substations. Founded in 2024 by Mohanvarakrishna Boddeti and Gautham Raju, the eight-member team transitioned full-time in May 2025 after six months of validation. CaliperAI initially addressed autonomous driving development bottlenecks before creating an integrated platform spanning data validation, testing software, and robotic hardware. By combining precision AI models with customizable robotic platforms, the company aims to eliminate fault-detection errors during automated monitoring cycles across harsh, high-risk physical operational environments.
