Bengaluru-based battery cell technology startup e-TRNL Energy has raised ₹27.4 crore in a seed funding round in February 2026. The funding round was led by IAN Alpha Fund, with participation from Navam Capital, Anicut Capital, Speciale Invest, Micelio Mobility, and IIMA Ventures. Angel investors including Ather Energy co-founders Tarun Mehta and Swapnil Jain also participated. Founded in 2021 by Apoorv Shaligram and Uttam Kumar Sen, e-TRNL Energy redesigns battery cell architecture rather than standard chemical compositions. The startup previously raised ₹7.5 crore in pre-seed funding and operates a 20,000-square-foot facility.
