Global asset manager BlackRock has acquired 25.9 lakh shares in Indian electric vehicle maker Ather Energy for ₹445.3 crore through an open-market transaction via BlackRock Global Funds. Purchased at ₹1,713.02 per share, the stake acquisition coincides with Ather's addition to the MSCI India Domestic Small Cap Index. The move follows Ather’s launch of its mass-market Konarc electric scooter priced at ₹99,999 on its new EL platform. Additionally, Hero MotoCorp recently acquired an extra 3% stake in Ather for ₹1,758 crore as the EV maker narrowed its net loss to ₹51 crore.
