Quick commerce platform Blinkit has introduced a flat fee of ₹2,500 for non-emergency ambulance transfers, while keeping emergency cases completely free of charge. Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal announced the move on social media platform X, explaining that non-emergency bookings such as routine checkups and hospital-to-home discharges have grown significantly and tie up fully equipped emergency vehicles and paramedics. Operated under the Eternal Foundation, the service has handled over 42,000 total cases, including 20,000 emergencies, across two years without charging fees. Revenue generated from non-emergency trips will be reinvested into expanding the ambulance fleet.
