India's cybersecurity agency CERT-In has issued an alert regarding AI-driven cyberattacks targeting domestic fintech firms and non-banking financial companies, warning that attackers are exploiting payment systems to siphon funds. Meanwhile, funding in India’s B2C ecommerce sector declined 33% year-on-year to $1.6 billion across 356 rounds between January and November 2026, according to Tracxn data. Late-stage and seed-stage funding both dropped over 50%, while early-stage rounds remained resilient with 3% growth. Separately, OpenAI committed to covering full power costs for its data centres amid rising local infrastructure scrutiny and public concerns.
