Chariot Launches Real-Time Speech Recognition Model For 10 Indian Languages

AI research lab Chariot launched Chariot-1-ASR Realtime on October 22, an automatic speech recognition model capable of transcribing live speech across 10 Indian languages and Indian English. Supported languages include Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Punjabi, and Odia. Evaluated across 79 public test sets with 153,000 audio files, Chariot claimed its model made 17% fewer errors than Sarvam Saaras v4 and 34% fewer than Google Gemini 3.5 Transcribe Live in real-time streaming benchmarks. On Hindi calls, it achieved an error rate of 5.04%.
