D2C Brands Turn Festive Gift Boxes into Reusable Marketing Assets

Indian direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands are revamping festive packaging into reusable keepsakes to drive long-term brand recall. Companies such as IGP, Bliss & Bite, Phool, Nihira Mithai, Nutty Gritties, Petite Pie Shop, The Urban Dori, and Parna Varna are introducing multipurpose hampers, wooden trunks, and illustrated tins. For instance, IGP introduced boxes doubling as rangoli stencils, while Bliss & Bite uses hand-painted Pichwai chests that function as jewellery boxes. The strategy aims to extend packaging utility beyond Diwali celebrations, turning product containers into permanent household fixtures and low-cost retention marketing tools.
