Social commerce unicorn DealShare is actively weighing potential acquisition bids from online pharmacy platform TrueMeds and B2B seafood marketplace Captain Fresh as it faces a possible shutdown. Multiple sources confirm that the grocery e-retailer's operations have drastically shrunk following continuous revenue declines, leaving it with limited operating assets. Discussions with TrueMeds are currently at a more advanced stage, partly aided by common investor WestBridge Capital. If neither transaction goes through, DealShare is expected to wind down entirely. Any eventual transaction is expected to be structured largely as a financial transfer rather than an operational buyout.
