British artificial intelligence research startup Inherent, founded by former DeepMind researchers, has released Faraday, an autonomous AI agent capable of replicating published scientific research. According to Inherent, Faraday outperformed frontier models from Anthropic and OpenAI in empirical scientific replication benchmarks. The AI teammate is engineered to review academic literature, execute complex experimental methodologies, and validate scientific findings autonomously.
