Bengaluru-based aerospace startup Airbound has raised $37 million in a Series A funding round led by Greenoaks, with participation from DoorDash, Lachy Groom, Lightspeed, and Humba Ventures. The investment brings Airbound's total capital raised to nearly $50 million since its 2023 launch, following an $8.65 million seed round. The startup builds lightweight autonomous aircraft utilizing a blended wing body tailsitter design for efficient payload transport. Having completed over 1,000 successful medical sample delivery flights with Narayana Health, Airbound plans to deploy the capital toward scaling commercial manufacturing and accelerating go-to-market deployments in India.
