Bengaluru-based drone technology startup Airbound has raised $37 million in a Series A funding round led by US-based venture firm Greenoaks. The round also saw participation from food delivery major DoorDash, Lightspeed, Humba Ventures, and Physical Intelligence co-founder Lachy Groom. Founded in 2023 by Naman Pushp, Airbound manufactures autonomous cargo drones using a blended-wing-body tail-sitter design that enables vertical takeoff and horizontal flight. The company will deploy the fresh capital to accelerate engineering, expand commercial-scale manufacturing, and support go-to-market initiatives, bringing its total institutional funding to approximately $50 million since launch.
