AI solutions engineer Yogen Ghodke has developed ListenToMe, an AI-powered accessibility app designed to convert study materials into audio for visually impaired students. Ghodke created the tool after collaborating with Seema Kharad, a visually impaired PhD student in Pune who struggled to access academic literature. The application utilizes optical character recognition (OCR) and text-to-speech technology to convert complex PDFs, books, and notes into audio format. Following two months of iterative user feedback and testing, the application has expanded its user base beyond India.
