Even Healthcare Lays Off 350 Employees Amid Hospital Shift

Bengaluru-based healthtech startup Even Healthcare has laid off nearly 30% to 35% of its workforce, impacting around 350 employees across multiple teams. The retrenchment comes as the company phases down its insurance subscription operations to transition into a hospital-led healthcare delivery model. The restructuring aims to curb cash burn and boost operational efficiency. Even is currently in the process of raising $50 million in a funding round led by Khosla Ventures, having already secured $21 million. For FY25, Even's revenue increased to Rs 27.2 crore, while net losses expanded to Rs 90.2 crore.
