Flipkart Sees 14 Senior Exits Amid IPO Delays and ESOP Uncertainty

Walmart-backed Flipkart has witnessed 14 senior-level executive exits over the past year amid persistent delays to its initial public offering and growing employee concerns regarding ESOP liquidity. The latest leaders departing include Kanchan Mishra, Vice President of smartphones; Amit Sachan, VP of product and tech; and Kamal Chopra, VP of corporate. These departures come as parent company Walmart directs the Indian ecommerce giant to prioritize profitability over aggressive expansion, even while Flipkart pours capital into quick-commerce arm Flipkart Minutes. Multiple departing executives cited limited visibility on stock option monetization and new entrepreneurial ambitions.
