Google.org Grants $15 Million to The/Nudge for MSME AI Solutions

Google’s philanthropic division Google.org has committed $15 million in funding to Indian non-profit The/Nudge to accelerate digital adoption among micro, small, and medium enterprises. The initiative will develop scalable, open-source AI tools designed to improve formal credit accessibility, market discovery, and regulatory compliance for small businesses. Additionally, the partnership will launch a multilingual AI platform to upskill talent in Tier III and Tier IV towns and connect them with local enterprises. Google India VP Preeti Lobana noted the effort will provide essential digital infrastructure to help Indian MSMEs build competitiveness and achieve global scale.
