Mumbai-based electric bus operator GreenCell Mobility has raised ₹330 crore ($34.6 million) in equity funding led by Impact Fund Denmark. Founded in 2019 and backed by Eversource Capital, the startup plans to use the capital to support the ongoing deployment of 4,500 electric buses and expand its total fleet to over 5,000 buses across 105 Indian cities. GreenCell operates intercity and intracity transit services under the NueGo brand alongside state transport contracts. It currently runs over 1,200 electric buses and operates more than 270 dedicated charging stations nationwide to power operations.
