Electric bus platform GreenCell Mobility has raised $34.6 million to expand and strengthen its electric bus network across India. The company, which is backed by Eversource Capital, previously secured $37 million in funding from the International Finance Corporation, the private-sector investment arm of the World Bank Group. GreenCell Mobility focuses on deploying state-of-the-art electric buses and building high-capacity charging infrastructure for intercity and intracity transport systems nationwide. The newly acquired capital will support fleet expansion, operational scaling, and sustainable public transportation solutions to reduce carbon emissions and accelerate India's electric vehicle transition.
