Groww Adds 2.23 Lakh Active Clients in August, Capturing 44% Market Growth

India’s stockbroking industry added approximately 5.12 lakh net active clients in August, with discount broker Groww capturing nearly 44% of all new additions. The market leader onboarded 2.23 lakh active users during the month, expanding its total client base from 1.31 crore to 1.33 crore and raising its overall market share to 29.04%. Zerodha remained in second place with 67.97 lakh active clients after adding 34,501 users, holding a 14.79% share. Angel One followed closely in third with 67.19 lakh clients. ICICI Securities and Upstox secured the fourth and fifth spots, respectively.
