Gurugram E-Grocery Startup Satvacart Shuts Down After 12 Years

Gurugram-based online grocery startup Satvacart has officially ceased operations after 12 years, founder Rahul H. Saxena announced. August 28 was the company's final operational day, after which its team was disbanded. The shutdown follows failed attempts to secure growth capital or close an acquisition. Saxena noted that Satvacart received capital only in small tranches and its profitability-first focus failed to deliver the scale required by prospective investors. Founded in 2014, Satvacart originally launched with milk subscriptions before scaling to an inventory-led micro-cluster grocery model across Gurugram.
