Automotive manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has acquired an additional 1.18 crore equity shares in electric two-wheeler maker Ather Energy for ₹1,758 crore through an open-market block deal. The shares were offloaded by the Government of Singapore at ₹1,480 per share on the NSE. The transaction increases Hero MotoCorp's total stake in Ather to approximately 32.8%, up from 29.48% held at the end of June. The move comes as Ather accelerates fundraising efforts, having secured ₹1,300 crore via a QIP in July alongside board approval for a ₹1,200 crore preferential issue.
