Hero MotoCorp plans to increase the production capacity of its Vida electric two-wheeler to 45,000 units per month by March and further scale to 80,000 units monthly by Q2 FY28. CEO Harshavardhan Chitale noted that current dealer inventory stands at just one day, reflecting strong consumer demand and supply constraints. The automaker's monthly EV capacity has already doubled from 15,000 to 30,000 units over the past year. Hero MotoCorp joins competitors like TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto, and Ather Energy in aggressively expanding manufacturing capacity amid surging electric two-wheeler adoption in India.
