IBM Partners With MeitY Startup Hub to Boost Indian Deeptech Innovation

IBM India and South Asia Managing Director Sandip Patel emphasized India’s defining role in shaping global artificial intelligence at the IBM Think event. Highlighting the concept of digital swaraj or data sovereignty, Patel stated that modern enterprises must redesign operations around AI agents, real-time data, and hybrid architecture. Alongside the keynote, IBM signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the MeitY Startup Hub to support India’s deeptech and startup ecosystem. Under this partnership, Indian startups will gain access to IBM’s enterprise platforms, including watsonx and Sovereign Core, along with technical expertise.
