Bengaluru-based biotechnology startup Venomics AI has raised $2.7 million in a pre-seed funding round co-led by Speciale Invest and South Park Commons, with participation from Operators Studio. Spun out of the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) by Sunagar and Vinay Prabhu in May 2026, the company combines venom biology, molecular sequencing, and artificial intelligence to discover venom-derived therapeutic drugs. Venomics AI will use the fresh capital to expand operations, grow its molecular dataset, and enhance its laboratory screening capabilities while developing its proprietary Venom Atlas platform for global drug development.
