According to Microsoft's latest Work Trend Index report unveiled in Bengaluru, 32% of artificial intelligence users in India qualify as frontier professionals who blend agentic automation with strong human judgment. This figure represents double the global average and marks the highest proportion among all surveyed markets. Puneet Chandok, President of Microsoft India and South Asia, emphasized the necessity of balancing technical AI capabilities with essential human qualities like critical thinking, curiosity, and emotional intelligence. Chandok noted that Indian professionals are actively leading global enterprise workflows by effectively utilizing Copilot tools without sacrificing human analytical reasoning.
