India Ranks Third Globally in AI Capability, Reports Indiaspora and Zinnov

Non-profit organization Indiaspora and global management consultancy Zinnov have released two reports analyzing the impact of artificial intelligence across India’s startup and Global Capability Center ecosystems. The findings reveal that India has climbed to third place globally in AI capability, hosting over 3,100 active AI startups. The top 100 Indian AI startups have collectively secured $2.9 billion in funding. The report notes that mid-stage companies raising between $5 million and $50 million demonstrate robust product-market fit, capital-lean operations, and revenue traction, boosted by government initiatives such as the Rs 10,372 crore IndiaAI Mission.
