India's artificial intelligence sector could surpass $100 billion and contribute up to $1 trillion to national GDP by 2035, according to venture leaders at Techsparks 2026. Speaking at a fireside session with YourStory founder Shradha Sharma, Prosus Head of Investments Ashutosh Sharma and Equal AI CEO Keshav Reddy highlighted opportunities for startups serving underserved domestic markets. Sharma noted that while mobile and internet waves democratised product access, AI democratises intelligence itself, substantially boosting productivity across sectors and unlocking massive market value for early-stage enterprise and consumer-facing technology companies building scalable solutions.
