India’s electric two-wheeler registrations rebounded 12.2% month-on-month to reach 2.07 lakh units in September, up from 1.84 lakh units in August, according to Vahan data. On an annual basis, sales nearly doubled from 1.05 lakh units in September 2025. Legacy automakers TVS Motor, Bajaj Auto, and Hero MotoCorp captured approximately 61% of total registrations, recording steady month-on-month growth. In contrast, new-age EV startups saw mixed momentum: Ather Energy grew 4.9%, while Ola Electric declined 3.5% and BGauss remained flat, as traditional players expanded distribution ahead of the festive season.
