IndiaAI Mission Releases 3 Indigenous Foundation Models By Soket, ZenteiQ

The IndiaAI Mission has unveiled three indigenous foundation AI models developed by domestic startups. Soket AI Labs introduced EKA-1, a 26.3-billion-parameter sparse hybrid model trained on roughly 7.5 trillion tokens, supporting all 22 scheduled Indian languages and English for BFSI and cybersecurity use cases. Meanwhile, ZenteiQ AiTech Innovations launched Dhīr 2B and Dhīr 5B, open-source multilingual models supporting English and 10 Indian languages for on-premise and offline deployments across government, defence, and enterprise sectors. The models were launched in New Delhi alongside MeitY Secretary S Krishnan.
