Indian cleantech startups raised a record $433 million across 23 deals in Q3 2026, marking a nearly threefold increase from $118 million in the year-ago period, according to data from Inc42. The sector's average deal size expanded significantly from $7 million to $19 million year-on-year. Electric mobility captured the vast majority of funding, accounting for nearly 69% of the total capital deployed. Three electric vehicle manufacturers—River, Yulu, and Ultraviolette—secured a combined $298 million during the quarter. Growth was supported by increasing vehicle registrations, advancing component localisation, and expanding investor interest in commercially viable green business models.
