Indian e-commerce platforms recorded goods worth Rs 24,000 crore ($2.5 billion) in gross merchandise value during the first two days of festive season sales, according to Redseer Strategy Consultants. Over 60 to 65 million shoppers placed an estimated 8 to 9 crore orders across marketplaces including Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, and Ajio. Mobile phones remained the largest category, contributing 38% to 40% (Rs 9,100–9,600 crore) of total sales value. Quick commerce arms of major players saw GMV jump four to five times over daily run rates, with Tier 2 towns driving strong value fashion demand.
