Indian fintech firms are setting their sights on expanding domestic payment rails internationally, particularly across cross-border business-to-business transactions. Speaking at TechSparks 2026, Skydo founder Movin Jain and PhonePe Chief Technology Officer Srijon Biswas discussed scaling digital infrastructure beyond India. Jain noted that while India records approximately $850 billion in annual exports and $1 trillion in imports, less than 10% of these transactions currently flow through fintech platforms, with traditional banks retaining market dominance. Panelists emphasized that category education and transparent cross-border rails represent immediate growth opportunities rather than direct price competition as global adoption matures across emerging fintech corridors.
