Indian startup funding stabilized during Q3, with capital shifting heavily toward mid-to-growth stage startups while late-stage deals slowed. Growth-stage funding surged 46% year-on-year to $1.1 billion, propelled by domestic funds and micro VCs seeking lower valuation risks. Conversely, late-stage funding fell 10% year-on-year to $994 million amid macroeconomic caution, high US treasury yields, and demands for profitability before IPOs. Sectorally, frontier tech dominated investment, with artificial intelligence securing $438 million, cleantech raising $433 million, and deeptech attracting $290 million, while fintech and ecommerce funding contracted 11% and 31% respectively.
