India's new-age manufacturing sector is positioned to capture gains from a $3 trillion global AI infrastructure investment cycle, according to a report by Avendus Capital. The investment firm identified defence, aerospace, spacetech, robotics, semiconductors, energy transition, and advanced materials as key growth drivers. With over 80% of global AI infrastructure capital yet to be deployed, domestic companies can leverage engineering talent, domestic demand, and policy support to scale globally. The report highlights 2027–28 as a critical commercialisation window, noting India’s semiconductor consumption will surge from $49.5 billion in 2025 to $106.5 billion by 2030.
