Indian Startup Founders Took Home ₹43.4 Crore in Fixed Pay in FY26

Sixteen founders across 10 top Indian new-age tech companies earned a combined ₹43.4 crore in fixed remuneration during FY26, marking an 8.2% increase from FY25, according to Inc42 data. Lenskart cofounder Peyush Bansal drew the highest fixed pay at ₹5.7 crore alongside ₹12 crore in bonuses. Meesho cofounders Vidit Aatrey and Sanjeev Kumar followed with ₹4.8 crore each. Honasa Consumer’s Ghazal Alagh saw a 60% hike to ₹2.4 crore, while Nykaa’s Falguni Nayar and Swiggy’s Sriharsha Majety saw pay cuts, though Majety booked ₹549.3 crore in ESOP gains.
