Indian startup funding declined by 22% week-on-week, with companies securing over $184 million (approximately ₹1,747 crore) across 17 deals between October 19 and October 23. This marks a contraction from the $236.2 million raised in the preceding week. Artificial intelligence startups dominated investor interest, capturing ₹892 crore across six deals, which accounted for roughly half of the total capital deployed during the period. Despite the broader weekly slowdown in venture capital activity, deeptech and AI-focused ventures continue to attract substantial capital from domestic and international investors.
