Indian startup funding increased 5% year-on-year to $2.2 billion across 210 deals in Q3, according to Inc42 data. Capital deployment concentrated heavily in growth-stage Series A and B rounds, which surged 38% to $1.1 billion, while late-stage funding fell 10% to $994 million. Artificial intelligence led all sectors by attracting $438 million, up 265% year-on-year, followed closely by cleantech at $433 million and deeptech at $290 million. Traditional sectors lagged, with fintech dropping 11% to $249 million and ecommerce declining 31% to $245 million. Bengaluru led all cities, raising over $1.4 billion.
