Venture capital funding into Indian startups plunged 66% year-on-year in October, falling to $581 million across 107 deals compared to $1.6 billion raised during the same period last year. Funding also dropped 49% month-on-month from $1.1 billion across 100 deals recorded in September. The decline was largely driven by a total absence of large late-stage deals, with Even Healthcare's $50 million round marking the month's largest fundraise. Despite the October slowdown, Indian startups have accumulated $10.4 billion in funding across the first ten months, maintaining pace with annual totals from the previous year.
